Grades of Green school, Aspen Elementary, recently won the National Wildlife Federation’s Green Flag Award, only the 17th school in the nation to receive this honor! Aspen Elementary won the Green Flag Award because of their school’s commitment to the environment, including creating an Eco-Action Team, conducting an environmental audit of the school, developing an Eco-Action Plan, monitoring and evaluating this plan, engaging the community, and developing and adopting an Eco-Code.
