Megan Kapinos is a former food stylist turned mom of three turned environmental activist. Born in Northern California, Megan spent much time on the family farm picking vegetables and fruit which led to her passion for food, cooking and healthy eating. At a time when it was unheard of, Megan’s mother brought reusable bags to the grocery store and required Megan and her brother to cut up all plastic bags and plastic soda rings to “save the birds.” Though she hated that her house was cold at night (heat off!), she appreciated her mother’s insistence that we “save our resources.” Thanks in large part to her mother, respecting the planet was engrained in Megan at an early age. These experiences as a child and after the birth of her three children reignited Megan’s commitment to educate herself, children and parents alike about the issues facing our planet. She is a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
