Grades of Green congratulates Centennial Elementary School for its successful completion of the Left-Over School Supplies Activity. For this Activity, Centennial salvaged 1,175 markers, which equates to 23.5 pounds!
A local Oregon Frontier Girls Troop played a key role in Centennial’s Activity achievement because the Troop donated a 5 gallon bucket for Centennial’s crayon collection. Centennial collected 15 gallons worth of crayons for the Oregon Frontier Girls Troop.
Centennial then donated its markers to the Crayola Colorcycle Program. The local Oregon Frontier Girls Troop then melted/recycled the collected crayons into new crayons for a local hospital.
Centennial Elementary provides a great example of how to roll out the Left-Over School Supplies Activity. Way to go Centennial!
