Safe Routes to School just came out with a Safe Routes to School Policy Workbook, which is designed to help school board members, administrators, families of students, and community members create and implement policies that support active transportation and Safe Routes to School programs. Safe Routes to School is a movement that encourages students to walk, ride bicycles, or use other forms of active transportation to and from school. The workbook will walk you through a series of policy options to help build your own customized Safe Routes to School policy. We also encourage you to check out Grades of Green’s Walk to School activity to learn more ways to start a walk to school program at your school.
