Now that you’ve chosen and researched a Climate Solutions Topic, it’s time to write your Vision Statement!

Your vision statement is a short description of your team’s aspirations and the wider impact you aim to create.

It should describe the clear, long-term, desired change that will result from your project.  A powerful vision statement comes from the heart and should inspire your team and audience.

Creating a Vision Statement

In the process of creating a project vision statement these are some elements to focus on. Your statement does not need to incorporate all of these elements, but they should be considered as key factors in creating a powerful vision statement.

Desirable and inspirational: Meaningful and inspiring, the statement should encourage your team and others to engage.
Focus on the future: Oriented towards a desired future outcome, the statement should elevate the benefits that will come from the project.
Challenging: The end goal should be challenging to obtain and aspirational.
Concise and simple: The statement should contain only a few sentences.
