Every year, Daves Elementary 4th graders support a service project during the holiday season. This year, the 4th grade team put a green twist on their service project. They decided to collect gently used clothing and books for families in an underprivileged South Bay school district in Northern California. Through this experience, the children learned about recycling and reusing, showing compassion towards others, and how they are helping their local peers.
