George Washington Academy, a Grades of Green School in Casablanca, Morocco, was featured in Les Infos! The school was noted for being a semi-finalist in the Grades of Green Spring 2018 Water Challenge.
The Spring 2018 Water Challenge was a global competition in which 136 student leaders at 40 schools from across the world designed new ways to lead water conservation and water quality efforts in 33 cities and eight countries. Together, the participants saved over 1.2 million gallons of water!
Younes, the co-winner of the 2018 Environmental Leadership Award, founded the Grades of Green Team at George Washington Academy. Through innovation and student engagement- their team led efforts that dramatically reduced waste from single-use plastics over the past two years. As Les Infos put it, George Washington Academy’s Grades of Green team “saves money and saves the world!”
