Do you have the solution to ocean pollution? Grades of Green Youth Corps Middle School Student Johanna J. does! This 6th grader went back to her elementary school, Roosevelt Elementary in Santa Monica, and presented an eco-lesson video she created (check it out below!) to a classroom full of second and third graders! In the fun and enlightening video, Johanna explains how trash gets into the ocean through storm drains, why this is harmful, and what people can do to make sure their trash doesn’t end up in the ocean. After the video, Johanna answered questions from the audience about what else can get into the ocean and how pollution affects the animals that live there!
