Coronavirus Update:

We understand that the coronavirus may impact your original plans for your pitch. In response to this situation, we’re extending the deadline for video pitch submissions to Earth Day, April 22.

Grades of Green’s advisors are here to help answer all your questions, and we’re putting together resources to produce your videos remotely and collaborate with your teammates if you’re working with other students. Stay tuned for more information.

Are you ready to take the Student Green Pitch Challenge and walk away with $1,000 to create a better future?

Grades of Green, with the support of Sony Pictures’ A Greener World, is challenging 1st- to 12th-grade students across Los Angeles to pitch their innovative solutions to the environmental problems that they’re passionate about! In just a few weeks of engaging with Grades of Green’s unique approach to leadership skill-building and environmental education, you will pick an environmental problem, develop a solution and produce a powerful, convincing pitch to inspire action.

Prizes and Eco-Grants

The top five (5) pitches will be judged by the Sony Pictures’ A Greener World team to determine 3 winners!

If your pitch wins, you’re eligible to win an Eco-Grant to help implement your environmental solution or advance your education. The winning student or team will earn an Eco-Grant of $1,000 and two (2) runner-up students or teams will earn $500! All three winners will be able to tour the Sony Pictures Studio Lot and/or watch a live taping of a Sony Pictures production. You may enter as an individual or as a team.

Grades of Green, an environmental nonprofit, will lead this fun, impactful and educational program and will oversee the contest as a means to inspire and empower students to create meaningful environmental impacts in their schools and community!
