Welcome to the Long Beach Education Program! These Grades of Green programs were made in partnership with Long Beach Utilities! Educators can earn a stipend by completing the lessons in Steps 2-4 and submitting their results by May 24th, 2024 for the opportunity to win an Eco-Grant.

Year after year, Grades of Green is proud to support students and teachers with free environmental programs to Eco-Leaders around the globe. Grades of Green offers stipends to educators who lead a team of students.

How to LAUNCH in Long Beach
Step 1: Get Started!
Before you get started, register! Then, use Grades of Green’s “How to Form a Green Team” and “ReThink Waste Game” lessons to get started!
Step 2: Gather Up That Waste!
Use Grades of Green’s “Classroom Recycling”, “Trash Free Lunch”, “Lunchtime Sorting”, and “Campus Food Rescue” lessons to gather up and reduce waste!
Step 3: Save Water!
Use Grades of Green’s “Water Conservation” and “Drain Smart” lessons to reduce water usage!
Step 4: Reduce Your Energy Usage!
Use Grades of Green’s “Energy Audit” and “Preserving Energy Everyday” lessons to reduce energy usage!
Bonus: Be an Earth Day Hero!
Use Grades of Green’s “Earth Week Daily Actions” lessons from April 22nd–April 26th to show your earth day spirit!
