In honor of Earth Day, Becky McCalla, Lisa Coppedge, Suzanne Kretschmer, Mariel Waller, Nicole Sevier, Linda Geoghegan, Kim Martin, Shaya Kirkpatrick and Lauren Forbes were recognized by the City of Manhattan Beach for efforts to bring environmental education to students. The ceremony occured in the city chambers and included Mayor Pro-Tem Richard Montgomery, Councilmember Wayne Powell, Councilmember Portia Cohen and Mayor Mitch Ward.
