The Oak Park School District, already a leading green district having received the U.S. Department of Education’s Green Ribbon award, has recently initiated two new programs to reduce their overall waste. The first was setting up drop off bins for ink cartridges, cell phones, and batteries at 9 school sites. These items will be disposed properly through Green Hippo. Second, the district has started a textile recycling program through a partnership with USAgain. Check out more about Green Hippo and USAgain here to see how you can get these programs started at your school or school district.
