Claire was born in New York and grew up moving between California and France, developing her bicultural identity. She discovered her passion for environmental conservation and sustainability when she began volunteering with Heal the Bay in high school and helped to remove buckets of plastic trash from Venice Beach. Claire earned an Ecosystems Management and Forestry B.S. degree at the University of California, Berkeley, while simultaneously minoring in Spanish Literature and serving as President to the French conversation club on campus. In addition to her love of nature and cultural exchange, Claire enjoys taking her dogs to the beach, tending to her house plants, coffee shop hopping with her friends and going on backpacking trips!
