Helen was raised in New Mexico, where she developed a passion for hiking in the mountains and eating green chile. She moved to California and graduated from UCLA in 2019 with a degree in environmental science and a concentration in environmental engineering. During college, she worked as the dining sustainability assistant with UCLA Dining Services to increase sustainability at the dining halls and implement sustainability programs for students. Helen is eager to work with Grades of Green as a ClimateCorps AmeriCorps fellow to serve and empower students. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing and learning new languages.
