During Earth Month, Grades of Green Youth Corps student, Grace, held her second annual e-waste collection drive at her school. At this drive, Grace was able to collect several wooden pallets with discarded electronics that added up to over 5,600 pounds. By hosting this drive, Grace prevented this 5,600 pounds of hazardous waste from going into a landfill. Instead, it will be taken to a place that will properly dispose and strip valuable natural resources from the e-waste. Last year, the money that she earned went to put in solar panels at her school and she plans on using the $275 she earned this year to do the same!
