One of Grades of Green’s rock star Youth Corps students, Joshua, was honored as a recipient of the 2015 President’s Environmental Youth Award! In August 2016 Joshua flew to Washington D.C. to accept the award at the Presidential Environmental Education Awards Ceremony along with a select group of student awardees from across the country.  The ceremony included speeches from Dr. John Holdren, Assistant to the President and Director of the White House Office of Science, Technology Policy, Administrator Gina McCarthy, United States Environmental Protection Agency, and Secretary John King with the United States Department of Education.  Joshua received his award for his 2014-15 Youth Corps Eco-Leadership project; a comprehensive school wide water reduction campaign.
