Do you want to live your life waste free? On Tuesday, July 12th, Youth Corps students Sarah S. and Annemarie D. taught a lesson at South Bay Adult School’s Zero Waste Workshop about how to use Grades of Green as a resource, be zero waste at home and at work, and compost! For their 2015-2016 Youth Corps Projects, Sarah S. did a beach clean-up and taught about the importance of reducing waste on the beach and Annemarie D. introduced composting to the pancake breakfast at American Martyr’s. Both of them were excited to present everything they learned throughout the year to the South Bay Adult School audience. The evening also included a lesson from the Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County about the past, present, and future of wastewater management and a food expert about environmentally friendly eating.

Thank you South Bay Adult School for including Grades of Green in such a great and enlightening evening!
