SOAR Program Manager

Lauren Anne Muller has always had a passion for children and the environment. She understands that children are our future and if we instill environmental values in them now, they will have the understanding and capacity to create positive environmental change in the future. She has her bachelor’s degree in Geography and Anthropology from UCSB and her master’s degree in Environmental Education from CSUSB. Ever since she graduated college, she has been teaching children, in some form or another, about caring for the environment. She began her environmental teaching career in 2007 at the Roundhouse Aquarium in Manhattan Beach, sharing her love for the ocean to school classes and high school volunteers.  From there she went on to work for Grades of Green as the Program Manager for the Youth Corps Eco-Leadership Program from 2014-2018. After having children, she became Ms. Nature, teaching nature classes to young children in her backyard. Now that her two boys are in school full-time; Lauren is excited to be back at Grades of Green to continue to share her knowledge to our future generations on how to care for and create lasting environmental change. In her spare time, she loves going on adventures with her family, hula hooping, and thrift store shopping.
